MAS 2008 _ Punished By Machines _ MKXLP/CD003
|
Only very short time after it’s birth, the new Mikrolux label already presents itself with a clear profile: here you find finest old and new school electro of all kinds and the yet very young outlet has managed to gather some of the most talented German artists. Among them, in remarkable position, there is Rene Kirchner and his Mas 2008 project. Kirchner already proved himself as groundbreaking artist with his first Elektrolux album (’Decyphered Music’) and this new longplayer ’Punished By Machines’ shows how much he has moved on and how consistent he has followed on his path. The twelve tracks on ’Punished By Machines’ – produced together with his longtime production partner Ive Müller (who is also known for his h.e.i.m. electronic moniker and together with Rene forms the project and label Electronic Corporation) – show Kirchners deep love for analogue sounds which develop an even more emotional intensity as they are embedded in a modern production level of highest standard. Minimal old school jams with hints to 80’s pop (’U Can’t Emulate A Soul’), classic electro sounds like ’World’s Passing By’ or ’Journey To Tomorrow’ and crazy dancefloor stompers (’Wasted’) make this longplayer a milestone release in electro music.
