the release of Anthony Rother’s ‚Darkness’ Mikrolux now sees
the release of its first artist album. Sniper Mode is the brainchild of
Gregor Trescher who has made a name for himself and his signature electro
sound, and already graced Elektrolux with a well received 12“ under
the same guise. He now serves up an amazing collection of 16 extra-crisp
tracks that are aimed directly at your mind, body and soul. ‚Wastelands’
perfectly displays Trescher’s outstanding talent for sharp, metallic
and extremely quirky rhythm patterns combined with the sheer beauty of an
overall dreamy atmosphere. And Gregor Trescher once again sports an infectious
mixture from spaced-out dubby electronica, vocoder-filled electro and sweet
downtempo grooves to impressive experimental moments and tricky techfunk.
