It’s simply a great honour for a music label when two artists who happen to release their music coincidentially on this same outlet, meet each other via this interface and finally even disappear into the studio together. It means nothing less than that the vibe is just right, the surroundings are comfortable and communication is working. This is exactly what happened at the still young Mikrolux label: the two minds behind the project Subtonal and Fresh Moods created a series of tracks together in an intense studio session and all of the tracks perfectly combine the best of both artistic worlds. The title track „Semitones In Darkness“ is a atmospheric electro jointventure which sets the mood on every dancefloor with feverish basslines and hallucinatic vocals. In the following reworks of „Fever“ and „Articulation“, Andreas Kauffelt (Subtonal) and Peter Haubfleisch (Fresh Moods) underline what they respect so much in the work of their alter ego. The result are strikingly unique tracks which show the personal proximity of these two artists in a very special way. More of that! | |
